about custom riders
Jakes Oosthuizen rode as an Appy for another club in the early '90. He rode a chopper at the time, so battled to keep up with the faster bikes. Jakes soon realized he was farting against thunder. Jakes decided he wanted to form a Club that the members had the same passion for Custom Built Bikes. They did not have to ride the hell out of their bikes to keep up with anyone else, but rather enjoy the motorcycle on the wide open road. That ladies and gentleman is how Custom Riders was established in 1995.
Today the Club is open to all riders with various bikes. The name of the Club is held high, as all members have the same passion for their motorcycles, and live by the biker's code: Love, Honour and Respect!

What we've been up to...
Where does time go when you having fun? We have made a full circle around the Sun as it's our AGT time again. We have attended plenty of rides, events, day jols, rallies and breakfast runs in the past year.
The Custom Riders Chapters from GP and KZN have made their rounds socially. It's what we love to do, attend events while wearing our Patch with Pride. Here are a few photo's below that proves that our Club have a Biking Problem!

custom riders agt 2022 - south coast
This year the AGT was held at the South Coast, hosted by the KZN Chapter at Happy Wanders. The Theme this year was Christmas in July.
All the Chapters gathered together for one memorable prize giving on Friday night. Christmas was in the air. The food spectacular, there was lots of fun and laughter. Even a Christmas Hat Decorating contest. This is what Christmas should be all about.
An early start on Saturday morning with a buffet breakfast. All Chapters gathered on the beach to start the morning with a treasure hunt and golf. Thereafter a very tiring event of Tug of War which was then led by Bocce Game (Old Man Bowls), Volley Ball and then the Swinging Drinking game.
Snacks were served on the beach, followed by a light lunch to keep the worms away.
Saturday evening the venue hosted a Braai for all of Custom Riders. If the day was not eventful enough, a couple of the members got caught in the Games room to play more games against each other and a few enjoyed the Bonfire on the beach.
A huge Thank You goes to Ben and his Chapter for pulling off an eventful AGT.
